Second Biennial Worldwide Conference of the INSL

taking place in Lausanne from 4 to 7 June 2019.

The conference will be held at the University of Lausanne at UNIL-Anthropole building from 4 to 7 June.

 

Après l’Université de Boston en 2017, l’Université de Lausanne accueille en juin 2019 le deuxième congrès mondial d’études poétiques et lyriques. Cet événement est l’occasion de réunir la pointe de la recherche internationale en poésie et de partager les principales questions qui se posent aujourd’hui dans ce domaine. Le thème du congrès est « the between-ness » ou « l’entre-deux ». La poésie vit actuellement une forte mutation entre le livre et l’univers numérique/multimedia. Ce congrès vise à articuler les approches historiques et théoriques, les conceptions linguistiques et mondiales, les possibilités de trouver des formes lyriques dans divers genres ou sur divers supports ainsi que de clarifier l’importance des innovations numériques en cours.

 

After the inaugural conference at the University of Boston in 2017, the University of Lausanne welcomes the second biennial worldwide conference of the INSL. The conference aims to pursue further the notion and the theory of lyric operating between and across languages. We are also interested in the tensions that arise between historical approaches and transhistorical conceptions, between the analysis of printed books and works of transmediation, between ‘close-reading’ and ‘distant reading’, as well as between regional and national concepts of lyric, on the one hand, and global, transnational and comparative perspectives, on the other.

General information

Payment
Registration and activity fees must be paid by credit card during the registration process.

Accompanying person 
Kindly note that the accompanying person can only register for the social activities.
Otherwise, in case the accompanying person also wants to attend the scientific program, he/she has to register as "Public".

Accommodation
Once your registration has been confirmed, you have the opportunity to book a hotel room via this platform. A credit card is required to guarantee your reservation. If you wish to use an other credit card than the you used for your registration, please contact Mrs Mirjam Kiener at kiener@lausanne-tourisme.ch. 

Visa - invitation letter
If you need an invitation letter for your visa application procedure, please contact Mrs Mirjam Kiener at kiener@lausanne-tourisme.ch. You will receive the invitation letter after registration and payment have been completed.
Please submit your visa application early as it can take between six and eight weeks to process, or exceptionally even longer, depending on the season.

If you wish to come back to your registration in order to update it, please use your direct login link which can be found in your confirmation email. 

Registration cancellation policy

To cancel your registration, please send a written note to kiener@lausanne-tourisme.ch

• Up to 15 April 2019: 100% refund
• From 16 April to 27 May 2019: 50% refund
• After 27 May 2019: no refund can be made

All refund payments will be made after the conference.
