Excursion to the Lavaux vineyards (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and wine tasting in a cellar at La Croix-Duplex in Grandvaux

The Lavaux Vineyard Terraces, named World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2007, illustrate a thousand years of labour. To make the most of the long hours of sunshine, man reduced the slopes by forming terraces in order to produce a highly appreciated wine: Chasselas. Discovering a wine cellar is the satisfaction of a personalised approach to winegrowing and its culture, including regional culinary specialties and the encounter with a region, which has helped to shape its history.

The excursion includes a visit of the 'La Croix-Duplex" wine cellar in Grandvaux, where you will have the possibility to taste four different wines and some culinary specialities from the region, as well as experiencing a visit of the cellar. The excursion lasts about 3 hours. www.lavaux.ch

5:45 pm             Departure of the bus - direction La Croix Duplex, Lavaux
6:15 pm             Arrival at La Croix Duplex Domaine
6:15-7:30 pm      Wine & planchette vigneronne (bread, cheese and sausage) tasting and cellar visit
7:45 pm             Departure of the bus - direction Lausanne
8:15 pm             End of tour, arrival at Lausanne Main Station ("Lausanne Gare")
