Community event at The Olympic Museum

Scala Days and Lunatech invite all ScalaLovers to join us for a fantastic Community Event at the one and only Olympic Museum in Lausanne. After the conference ends on Tuesday 12th June 18.30h, bus shuttles are organised to bring us to this fantastic venue. Between 19 and 24h you will have an opportunity to visit this unique place dedicated to sport, art, and culture, borrowing the Olympic values of excellence, respect and friendship, get to see the original torches, try some of the exercises, and much, much more. Finally, standing dinner with live music will be served on the top floor with an amazing view, overseeing the Leman lake (Geneva lake) and French high Alps. All in a super cool company of your Scala peers. We hope to see you there, as we believe it’s an experience worth having!

Price

• The price of the event is included in the participant's fee and in the accompanying person's package. 
• If you would like to participate only in this event, the fee of CHF 200 applies.

Conditions

• We have bus shuttles taking us from the venue
• If you miss a shuttle, no worries, it is not too far, check out the connection how to get there from STCC and from the city center.
• There isn't any specific dress code.
• If the participant is interested in the excursion, he obligatory has to check the corresponding box in the form. 
• No food and beverages are allowed in the Museum during the exhibition tour.

Walking city tour

An exhaustive tour including the visit of the old city, the beautiful 13th century Gothic Cathedral, the pedestrian area with the typical open air market, the city hall dating back to the 16th century, the Supreme Court and Lausanne’s lake side promenade in Ouchy. The tour includes a 2-hour guided visit in English.

Walking city tour 1 : Sunday 9 June 2019 from 10 to 12 am
Walking city tour 2 : Sunday 9 June 2019 from 2 to 4 pm
Walking city tour 3 : Sunday 9 June 2019 from 3 to 5 pm
Walking city tour 4 : Wednesday 12 June 2019 from 9 to 11 am
The tours start in front of the main train station of Lausanne. 

Price
The price of the excursion is included in the participant's fee until 1 April 2019 and in the accompanying person's package. 

Conditions

• A minimum of 15 participants is required for the tour to happen. Every tour can welcome a maximum of 25 participants.
• If the participant is interested in the excursion, he obligatory has to check the corresponding box in the form. 
• We recommend participants to wear appropriate shoes for walking.
• Every participant staying in a hotel in Lausanne has to take his Lausanne Transport Card for the tour.

Walk through the Lavaux vineyards

The Lavaux Vineyard Terraces, named World Heritage Site by Unesco in 2007, illustrates a thousand-year of labour. To make the most of the long hours of sunshine, man reduced the slopes by forming terraces in order to produce a highly appreciated wine : Chasselas. Discovering a wine cellar is the satisfaction of a personalized approach to winegrowing and its culture, including regional culinary specialties and the encounter with a region, which has helped to shape its history. The tour includes a 4-hour guided visit in English as well as a wine tasting of several regional specialities.

The tour starts and ends in front of the main train station of Lausanne. 

Price
The price of the excursion is included in the participant's fee until 1 April 2019 and in the accompanying person's package.

Conditions

• A minimum of 15 participants is required for the tour to happen and can welcome maximum 80 participants in all.
• If the participant is interested in the excursion, he obligatory has to check the corresponding box in the form. 
• We recommend participants to wear appropriate shoes for walking.
• Every participant staying in a hotel in Lausanne has to take his Lausanne Transport Card for the tour.
